Since 1982, Northern Churches Care (NCC) has consistently served Colorado Springs through its emergency crisis support programs. NCC is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income families, the working poor, and those who experience an unexpected calamity by helping them move from crisis to hope.

NCC administers a variety of programs including rental and utility assistance, food, clothing and transportation vouchers, medical and prescription co-pays, legal advice and tax preparation. Additionally, NCC provides spiritual support through prayer and by connecting individuals and families to caring Christian Communities. Currently, NCC provides services to 15 zip code areas encompassing 71% of the population of Colorado Springs and provides services to all of Colorado Springs with several programs.

Springs Rescue Missionhelps the most vulnerable segment in our community. It is their daily mission to transform broken lives with the good news of Jesus Christ.  They serve the hungry and homeless, the working poor and struggling families, and the addicted by ministering to the whole person. Their purpose is to change the quality of our community, one person at a time.

The purpose the Suicide Prevention Partnershipwas established in 1993 as a non-profit corporation for the purpose of reducing the incidence of suicide in the Pikes Peak Region through education, intervention and survivor support services.  Their mission of Suicide Prevention Partnership is to unite the community in addressing suicide in the Pikes Peak Region through education, intervention and postvention.

Pikes Peak Work Force

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center(PPWFC) is part of a nationwide network of workforce centers, serving El Paso and Teller Counties.  PPWFC adult and youth programs are aimed at improving the employability of job seekers. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) was created to help adults and youth who lack marketable job skills gain the necessary skills to find and keep employment. Out-of-school youth who may not have completed their diploma requirements can find help getting their GED or getting back into school.  If eligible, youth may receive help with career assessments, tutoring and study skills, tuition assistance, leadership training, mentoring, occupational training, apprenticeships and more.

OptOutPrescreen.com is a joint venture among Equifax Information Services, LLC, Consumer Credit Reporting Companies are permitted to include your name on lists used by creditors or insurers to make firm offers of credit or insurance. The FCRA also allows you the ability to "Opt-Out", which prevents Consumer Credit Reporting Companies from providing your credit file information for firm offers of credit or insurance that are not initiated by the consumer.

As Southern Colorado's only emergency food bank, Care and Share provides food to 375 agencies. These include human service agencies, disaster services, youth programs, church-run food pantries, senior services, soup kitchens, etc. for distribution. The food is used to feed 25,000 people each week.

The Colorado Springs Warehouse (furniture bank)

The  mission of The Colorado Springs Warehouse is to partner with churches and outreach ministries throughout the Colorado Springs area and provide the furniture and household items necessary to turn housing into homes.  Through furniture donations they help cultivate comfort, security and self respect to those they assist.  As a proud member of The National Furniture Bank Association, they share a core belief to "create comfortable home enviroments by providing furnishings to those in need".  Distributions are made by appointment only and you must have a voucher from one of the following partner agencies:

Colorado Springs Utilities

LEAPis a federally funded program and is designed to help eligible low-income households with winter home heating costs. LEAP is not intended to pay the entire cost of home heating. LEAP benefits are available to all eligible persons without regard to race, color, sex, age, handicap, national origin, political beliefs or religious beliefs. The LEAP program eligibility period runs from Nov. 1 through April 30.

Project COPE- has been providing assistance to customers facing utility disconnection. The Colorado Springs Utilities Foundation works closely with not-for-profit organizations throughout the city to manage the program and administer funds to neighbors in need.

HEAP The Home Efficiency Assistance Program (HEAP) is a partnership between Colorado Springs Utilities and the Energy Resource Center (ERC). This program provides free energy and water efficiency improvements for qualified residential customers which translates into cost savings on customers' monthly utilities bill.  All HEAP services are free except furnace replacement.

Colorado Springs Housing Authority's mission is to enhance the lives of low-income families and seniors by providing decent and affordable housing opportunities. To identify and to utilize resources to their maximum effectiveness in accomplishing the Authority's goals and objectives. To promote respect for residents, co-workers, and community. The goal of the Housing Authority of the City of Colorado Springs is to assist low to moderate-income families and elderly and disabled persons to obtain affordable housing that is safe, decent, and sanitary.

The Homeownership Preservation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which creates partnerships with local governments, nonprofit organizations, borrowers and lenders to help families overcome obstacles that could result in the loss of their homes. They use exciting programs like their highly successful 888-995-HOPE - the Homeowner's HOPE Hotline - to help individuals and families who are struggling financially. Thousands of homeowners have received advice, assistance and support to help them stay in their homes.

Colorado Legal Services

Colorado Legal Services is for or low-income Coloradans seeking legal assistance and Colorado legal advocates, primarily in the areas of family law, consumer/debt problems, housing law, senior related issues, social services issues, immigration.  CLS may offer legal advice, assist you in filing your own case in court, offer referrals to legal aid clinics or other programs or agencies that can help among other areas.

Mission Medical Clinic

Under the umbrella of the Christian Healing Network (a 501(c)(3) non-profit), several Colorado Springs individuals were led by God to open a free clinic (Mission Medical Clinic) that would serve as a caring and loving environment for healing. The long-term goal was to provide three areas of care - medical, dental, and psychological. Continuing care for chronic conditions would be a major area of emphasis.

The clinic provides medical care and medications for all patients who qualify. Patients show income verification that they fall at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Chronic illness is a major focus of the clinic.

Partnership for Prescription Assistance

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance helps qualifying patients without prescription drug coverage get the medicines they need for free or nearly free. Their mission is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. They offer a single point of access to more than 475 public and private programs, including nearly 200 offered by pharmaceutical companies. They have already helped millions of Americans get free or reduced-cost prescription medicines.

Silver Key

Silver Keyexists to assist seniors remain in the least restrictive setting, preferably at home, for as long as possible.
